The September Manufacturing PMI® registered 50.9%, 1.9% lower than the 52.8% recorded in August. This figure indicates expansion in the overall economy for the 28th month in a row after contraction in April and May 2020. JOLTS Job Openings (USD)

The number of job openings decreased to 10.1 million on the last business day of August, the U.S. The Bureau of Labour Statistics reported today. Hires and total separations were little changed at 6.3 million and 6.0 million, respectively. Within separations, quits (4.M) and layoffs and discharges (1.5M) were little changed. Read More.

In September, the Services PMI® registered 56.7%, 0.2% point lower than August’s reading of 56.9%. The Business Activity Index registered 59.1%, a decrease of 1.8% points compared to the reading of 60.9% in August. Employment was little changed in September. The unemployment rate fell 0.2% points to 5.2% as fewer people searched for work. House Price Increment (GBP)

In the second quarter of 2022, house prices, as measured by the House Price Index, rose by 9.3% in the euro area and by 9.9% in the EU compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
